Wheelchair AccessibilityNorthstar® Resort is proud to host the third and final stop of the 2009 Hand Cycle National Criterium Championships - a new addition to the Tour de Nez cycling event. Hand Cycle athletes and Spectators will find the Village at Northstar™ accessible for all guests participating in the Tour de Nez events and activities.


All Tour de Nez race viewing and festival activities are located on the main level of the Village. Wheelchair accessible restrooms and elevators are available.

8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Parking
Prior to 10:30 a.m., all ADA Parking is located at the Village at Northstar in the Guest Drop-off area (Main-level Village entrance), near the Transit Center area (Lower-level Village entrance), and at the new Hyatt Residences on Currant Drive (across from the Village Walk entrance gate, access to the Main-level Village entrance). For preferred van accessible ADA Parking at the Village, please arrive prior to 10:30 a.m. Parking is first come, first serve. All guests parked in these Village areas will be able to access their vehicles throughout the day.


Wheelchair Accessible ElevatorsGuests parking at the ADA Parking lot near the Transit Center area (Lower-level Village entrance) can get to the Main-level via one of two wheelchair accessible elevators. The most convenient elevator access is located at the Village entrance next to Elite Feet. The second elevator is located approximately 250 feet further on Copper Lane (pavers throughout) across from the Northstar Club.

From the Village Parking Lots
Due to the frequent road closures throughout the day for the racing events, guests parked in the Village and Hyatt lots will be allowed to enter and leave only during these road opening time frames:

  • 8:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
  • 2:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
  • 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • 7:00 p.m. - Close

 

10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Parking
Castle Peak Park and Ride Parking LotAfter 10:30 a.m., all guest parking will be located at the Castle Peak Park & Ride Lot located off Northstar Drive near the entrance to the resort (Highway 267 entrance). Guests with Handicap Parking permits will be directed to a convenient van accessible parking area. From this reserved parking area, guests can take a wheelchair accessible Northstar Shuttle to the pick-up and drop-off location at the Aspen Grove Condominium Shuttle Stop. Once guests are dropped off at the Aspen Grove shuttle stop, they will be directed via signage to a 1/3 mile foot path (dirt and wood-chip trail) that will take them directly to the Village at Northstar (Lower Paid Parking Lot). From the parking lot, multi-passenger ATV's* (wheelchair-to-vehicle transferring is required) will transport guests and their wheelchairs up to the bottom of the Gondola (Main-level) inb the Village.


* Guests unable to transfer from a wheelchair to an ATV are advised to park at one of three reserved Village ADA Parking lots (see 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. parking). All guest access to the Village is limited to the hours prior to 10:30 a.m. or during road opening time frames. Please see above for road openings.

From the Village to the Castle Peak Parking Lot
All guests parked at the Castle Peak Parking Lot will meet at the Aspen Grove Shuttle Stop for pickup.
