Free Scenic Lift Rides

Free scenic lift rides for sightseeing and hiking are offered at Northstar® Resort in the summer.  Come out and hop on the Gondola, Tahoe Zephyr Express or Vista Express chairlifts for a scenic ride to the top of the mountain. Once you reach the top, the sky's the limit! Whether you are looking for the perfect view of Lake Tahoe, a picturesque picnic spot, local wildlife or some of the native flora and fauna, you will find it here.  Four-legged friends also are welcome on leash. 

Gondola and chair lift rides are now running seven days a week through Labor Day. Weekend rides continue Saturday and Sunday from Labor Day through October 5.  Please pick up your complimentary hiking lift ticket at the Season Pass office or Plaza Bikes located in the Village at Northstar™.  Frequent visitors should take advantage of our complimentary hiking pass.

Monday - Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 
Friday - 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Please note that the last chair down is 1/2 hour before the lifts closed.
