Lake Tahoe Mountain Bike Trails

In addition to the great lift access mountain bike trails at Northstar-at-Tahoe^TM  Resort, Lake Tahoe offers some of the best mountain biking in the world. Below are some of our favorite rides in the area. Learn more about these rides from the staff at the Northstar bike shop.

Truckee

• Coldstream Canyon - 11 mile loop.
• Emigrant Memorial Trail - beginner/intermediate. 30 miles out and back. Fun and fast single track.*
• Sawtooth Ridge Trail - intermediate. 9.1 mile loop. This network of trails spans from Truckee to Tahoe City.*
• Tompkin's Memorial Trail (TMT) - many loops from 4-10 miles.
• Northstar-at-Tahoe - riders of all ability levels can find over 100 fun and challenging mountain bike trails.*

Donner Summit

• Hole in the Ground - 15-20 miles trail near Donner Summit to test your technical skill.*

Squaw Valley

• Western States - this trail is an out and back and can take you all the way to Auburn if you are up for it.

North Lake Tahoe - Incline Village

• The Flume - intermediate/advanced, 23-mile loop or 13.5-mile shuttle assisted downhill. Amazing views of Lake Tahoe on this classic ride *

South Lake Tahoe

• Kingsbury to Spooner - intermediate/advanced, 9.6 miles one way. Great views of Lake Tahoe. Technical riding, good climbs and fun descents.*
• Mr. Toads Wild Ride - 20 mile advanced loop. One of the most technical, demanding and exhilarating rides.*
• Powerlines Trail - beginners and kids, out and back. Fast, mellow, rolling terrain.*
