The Northstar Stables will be open daily for Summer 2010 starting June 12 thru September 6.
Northstar Resort Stables offers horseback-riding for families and nature enthusiasts. The trails are located in gentle hills thick with pine forest, offering views of the High Sierra peaks.
Enjoy quality horseback rides led by an expert guide catered to you or you and your group. Northstar® Resort Stables specializes in beginners and family groups and our horses are gentle enough for even the most timid and inexperienced riders. For more advanced riders, we have responsive, well-trained horses. Children must be 10 years old to participate in trail rides.

These small group (1, 2 or 3 riders per guide) Horseback Trail Rides offer the opportunity to ride side-by-side with friends or at a faster pace for those with advanced skills, without the long, dusty lines.

| Camp starts with a tour of the stables followed by instructions on how to pet/brush a pony, lead it, and put the saddle on. Children will take turns being led on the pony trail as well as participate in little nature walks. Children will get a chance to unsaddle the ponies and help feed them. There will be an instructor for every 3 - 4 children. Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Please arrive no later than 12:45 p.m. Children will need long pants, closed shoes, sunscreen, a jacket and a snack and they should be fairly fit, able to be active all afternoon with a snack break. |
