Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is closed for the remainder of the Summer 2009 season. Please visit Rancho Red Rock's website for information about horseback riding in the Lake Tahoe/Reno area during the off season.
Northstar Resort Stables offers horseback-riding for families and nature enthusiasts. The trails are located in gentle hills thick with pine forest, offering views of the High Sierra peaks.
Enjoy quality horseback rides led by an expert guide catered to you or you and your group. Northstar® Resort Stables specializes in beginners and family groups and our horses are gentle enough for even the most timid and inexperienced riders. For more advanced riders, we have responsive, well-trained horses. Children must be 10 years old to participate in trail rides.
Operation for Summer 2009 start June 20 and continue through September 7.

These small group (1, 2 or 3 riders per guide) Private Horseback Trail Rides offer the opportunity to ride side-by-side with friends or at a faster pace for those with advanced skills, without the long, dusty lines.

Begins at 5:00 p.m. with a 1 hour trail ride followed by a hearty dinner. Menu includes tri-tip, tequila chicken, salad, bread, cookies, soda and cowboy coffee. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcohol and stay after the rides are finished.
