The Lake Tahoe area offers a great variety of fly fishing and lake fishing. A few reminders before fishing: Lake Tahoe is open for fishing year-round. Except for the tributary streams, which will be closed from October 1 through July 14.

• Fishing is legal one hour before sunrise and two hours after sunset.
• The limits: Five trout, Kokanee, Mountain Whitefish or a combination of the three.
• No fish may be used for bait or possessed for use as bait in Lake Tahoe.
