Biking On The Cheap

Ok, so if you get a mountain bike season pass for $279, it takes just six times to get your money’s worth!  That's an entire summer of gravity defying, non-stop adrenaline pumping fun for only $279.  If you are a 2010.11 Double Whammy® winter season passholder, your mountain bike season pass is only $259. And if you had a 2009 Mountain Bike Pass and want to renew again this year, we've got a discount for you, too. 

If you’re from WAY out of the area (like Tokyo), perhaps the Stay & Bike FREE lodging package will be the most suitable. It starts at $75 per person, and includes your bike lift pass, lodging and a daily food coupon. That’s a total deal because a day mountain biking pass alone is $42.

Gear Up & Find Your Path

Yeah, we’ll get you setup. GIANT Plaza Bikes Gear + Rentals, Northstar® Resort’s own fully stocked and loaded mountain bike shop, is located in The Village at Northstar™ and stocked with all of the pads, armor, helmets, downhill or cross country bikes you need to ride our rugged terrain. We also carry road bikes and cruisers for those wishing to stay off the dirt. 

If you want to learn how to ride our park, check out our Skill Development Area and ask our bike shop staff to highlight routes for you on the trail map. If you want to take it easy and get familiar with Tahoe dirt, we have suggested routes.  If you have a favorite ride, share it with the rest of the mountain biking community on our Mountain Bike Blog.  You can also view mountain bike photos and videos other fellow riders have posted.

Grub & Frothy Cold Beers

Start your day at Starbucks with a double macchiato, carmel, Frappuccino® with cotton candy on top. Head on over to the gondola and we’ll get you up to mid mountain where you can connect to two more lifts for access to more than 100 miles of trails!

Hungry and still have hours of single track love to ride?  Check out the Downhill Grill at mid-mountain lodge deck for power bars, wraps, sandwiches, chocolate milk, bars, vodka lemonades sodas and beer.

Done with riding and want to kick up your Shimano's?  Head to the boarder...North Of The Boarder for some "Tahoe-Mex" grub and plenty of suds to chug.

More Energy to Burn?

If a day of bombing down our mountain over loads of ramps and jumps did not tire you out for the day, test your skills of finesse on our golf course or driving range.  Swing through 9 holes with your buddies for only $35 bucks after 5:00 p.m. in Spring and $45 during summer. 

If you are staying in a Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort Condo or Mountain Home, swing by the Recreation Center where our game room can offer up a competitive game of air hockey, ping-pong, foosball.
