At the Village at Northstar™, shops are more than just shops. We have a 9,000 square foot skating rink surrounded by cozy firepits for you to warm your tired bones by or create a one-of-a-kind s'more masterpiece!

There are also a variety of craft stores that provide social activities, entertainment and creative learning experiences for kids and grown-ups! 

 

 

 

Roller Skating

Located in the heart of the Village at Northstar, the 9,000 square foot skating rink is the perfect ending to your day on the mountains. Enjoy a hot toddy or mulled cider by the outdoor fire pits surrounding the rink or take a few laps to burn off any left-over energy.  The skating rink is free for all, and for those who do not have skates, rentals are available for $10.  Skateboards, Razors, or rolling scooters of any kind are not permitted on the skating rink.

S'mores

Satisfy your afternoon sweet tooth every day at 3:00 p.m. as Northstar employees greet you with warm smiles and gooey s'mores at the bottom of Village Run and near the skating rink. If you happen to miss this complimentary chocolaty opportunity, you can always roast your own s'mores. The fire pits around the skating rink provide the perfect spot for families, children, and parties to roast their marshmallows while they sit and enjoy the view of the skating rink from the center of the Village. S'mores kits are available for purchase at Breezeway Coffee & S'mores, the Cabana Bars, the Overlook Bar and Baxter's Bistro.

 

Bungy Trampoline

Tahoe Apex Adventures owns and operates the popular year-round Apex Bungy which features a safe, fun and challenging bungy trampoline that allows kids and adults let go of their limitations and fly into the sky! All ages welcome; jumpers must weigh between 20 - 210 pounds.

Candle Making, Bear Village, and Mosaics

The Villager Candle Shop carries an endless amount of candle shapes, 20 scents, and countless colors. The candle making studio has space for small or large groups, and tables perfect for children of all ages. The knowledgeable staff can assist you in making candles or mosaics, or help you get all the supplies you need to make one at home. Bear Village is an area inside the Villager Candle Shop where you can create your own unique stuffed animal and accessories.

Jewelry Design

Farrah Ralé offers Northstar guests a spontaneous and fun activity off the slopes with bead design sessions in an inspiring setting.  Guests can design their own pieces or work with Farrah's experienced staff.

Movie Theater

The Village Cinemas offers Lake Tahoe and Truckee locals and guests popular Hollywood hits presented in ultra stereo or DTS, comfortable seating and a full-service concession stand. Village Cinemas features two boutique movie screens, with one containing 96 elevated stadium seats, and the second containing 45 elevated stadium seats.

Pottery Painting

All Fired Up! is the destination for everyone to explore their creative side. The pottery painting studio carries a vast assortment of unique pottery pieces to paint however you desire. Painting pottery is a great way to create lasting memories of your stay at Northstar.
