What is the Tahoe Alert?

The TAHOE ALERT is a free downloadable weather application on your desktop. With the TAHOE ALERT, you can access the below information 24/7 by clicking on a desktop icon:

• Snow report
• Weather forecast (Northstar Resort, Sierra Resort AND your own city!)
• Web cams
• Specials & Deals

You will also hear an audio sound when Northstar™ Resort or Sierra ™ Resort receives six or more inches of snow!

Security & Privacy: we will not use your email address for marketing purposes. You are not subscribing to anything other than the TAHOE ALERT. The TAHOE ALERT is a secure “light” mini desktop application utilizing as much RAM as a browser window. The TAHOE ALERT does not utilize Adware or Spyware. Your personally identifiable information is never utilized by our resorts or by MyWeather LLC. You may uninstall TAHOE ALERT at anytime.

 

 

What does it look like and how does it work?

1. Normal Mode - The TAHOE ALERT sits in the lower right hand corner of your monitor (the system tray) as a red snowflake icon along with a temperature widget.
2. Slim Version Mode - When you want to see live cams, current conditions, new snow, or to pinpoint micro-forecast at Northstar Resort or Sierra Resort (morning, afternoon, evening, overnight)*, simply double click the icon and this will open a a slim version of the desktop. 
3. Complete Version Mode - A complete view of your desktop application pops up after you click on one of the tab options in the slim version. Both the slim and complete versions can be closed by clicking on the X in the upper right hand side.

 

 

Does it Ding a Snow Alert?

Yes. The TAHOE ALERT gives an audio sound when we have six inches of snow or more. On occasion, we may alert you about a smoking lift ticket or lodging deal. Be the first to know!
