First Tracks

Northstar California's award-winning corduroy and legendary tree skiing is some of the best in North America, and every Saturday through the end of the ski and snowboard season you can get first dibs on them when you sign up for First Tracks at Northstar (weather & conditions permitting).

Cost

$80 per person. Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance.

Cost includes a First Tracks guide and a full breakfast at the new Zephyr Lodge - a $30 value!

A lift ticket or season pass is required.

How It Works

Step 1:  Sign up in advance at the Tickets & Season Pass Office in the Village at Northstar or by calling 530.562.2267 or 1.800.GO.NORTH (1.800.466.6784).

Step 2:  First Tracks guides will meet you at 7:30 a.m. at the bottom of the Big Springs Express Gondola and then accompany you up the Tahoe Zephyr Express to the top of Backside where your adventure begins. You and other First Tracks participants will have the Backside and (conditions permitting) Lookout Mountain, all to yourselves for a few runs before the lifts open to the public.

For your safety, First Tracks participants are required to stay with our First Tracks Guides at all times.

Step 3:  Following your First Tracks adventure on the Backside and Lookout Mountain, head to the new Zephyr Lodge for a complimentary breakfast (a $30 value).

Availability & Reservations

The First Tracks program is offered Saturdays, March 3, March 17, March 31 and April 7, weather and conditions permitting.

Space is limited and available only on a first come, first serve basis for Advanced (levels 6+) skiers and riders, ages 13+.
