Captain Safety

Northstar™ Resort's safety ambassador, Captain Safety, wears a yellow cape and has a special super-hero phone booth located at mid-mountain. He is frequently found skiing around the mountain, or at his phone booth, dispensing safety tips, answering questions, and quizzing kids on their on-mountain safety knowledge.

Also, everyday Captain Safety posts a safety tip of the day at the top of the gondola and chooses a special chairlift to ride that day. Kids can tell him one of the safety codes; all kids who share their knowledge with Captain Safety win great prizes.

We believe in safety just as much as we believe in fun. You will see many of our on mountain staff wearing helmets and we encourage the use of helmets on kids as a way of having more fun and being more safe! Check out some of these resources for more info:
