Snowshoe Social & Race Series

 

Join us for the 2011.12 Northstar California Snowshoe Social & Race Series taking place March 17, April 1 and April 7 (Tahoe Rim Tour & Race). The March 17 and April 1 races will feature a 5k, 10k and kid's races while the April 7 race, in conjunction with the Tahoe Rim Tour & Race, will be a point-to-point 21k from the North Tahoe High School to the Northstar Cross Country, Telemark & Snowshoe Center. Atlas Snowshoes, including performance snowshoes, will be available for rent at the Cross Country, Telemark & Snowshoe Center.

This race will be a fundraiser for the Tahoe-Truckee Humane Society and participants will be allowed to bring their dogs on the cross-country trails that day only. Check-In/Registration will take place from 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. and the race will begin at 11:30 a.m.

  • Pre-Registration: $30 Adults, $15 Children 12 and Under
  • Day-Of Registration: $40 Adults, $20 Children 12 and Under
  • All registration fees include a cross-country trail pass for race day.

April 7, 2012 (Tahoe Rim Tour & Race)

2011 Tahoe Rim Tour Race Results

This race is in conjunction with the Tahoe Rim Tour & Race, will be a point-to-point 21k from the North Tahoe High School to Northstar Cross-Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center. There will also be classic and skate divisions taking place at the same time. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefit the Far West Junior Nordic Program. Day of registration will take place from 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. at the North Tahoe High School. The Classic Ski Division will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the Skate Ski Division and Snowshoe Division will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Ski Division

  • Pre-Registration: $45 per person ($10 Juniors) if entry is postmarked by March 24 or completed online by 9:00 p.m. on April 5.
  • Day-Of Registration: $60 per person ($15 Juniors). Day-of registration will take place at the North Tahoe High School day of the race between 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
  • Ski (Classic & Skate) participants can register with Far West Nordic at www.farwestnordic.org.
  • All registration fees include a cross-country trail pass for race day.

Snowshoe Division

  • Pre-Registration: $45 per person if registered on/before April 6.
  • Day-Of Registration: $60 per person. Day-of registration will take place at the North Tahoe High School day of the race between 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
  • Snowshoe participants can pre-register through the Northstar eStore, by calling the Cross Country, Telemark & Snowshoe Center or by calling or visiting the Northstar Season Pass & Tickets Office.
  • All registration fees include a cross-country trail pass for race day.

Individual Races: Product prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women finishers

 

10k Competitive Run

Individual Races: Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women finishers

Overall Series (All three races): Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top man and women finisher at the final race on April 1.

 

Kid's Races

Individual Races: Product prize will be awarded to the top three finishers in each kid's race
