Northstar-at-Tahoe Kids Terrain Park: Paw Parks for Beginners

Kids' Adventure Parks

Occasionally it’s best to let the kids go wild, and that’s where the Adventure Parks come in. Here the terrain is just the right size and the must-do list is never ending. Loaded with whoops, bumps, gullies, and slides, you’re sure to be hooting and hollering in no time.

Adventure Parks Description
apfunforest

Filled with whoop-de-doos, gullies, bumps, burms, jumps, banks and slides, the fun never ends. You will never find a more enjoyable forest anywhere else. Fun Forest is located in the Schaffer’s Camp land. Ride the Big Springs Gondola Express or Village Express up to mid-mountain and then ride the Bear Paw chairlift or Big Dipper and Little Dipper Magic Carpets. When unloading the lifts, take a right. Travel down the Shooting Star trail and stay to the “skier’s left.”  Enter the Fun Forest through the trees (look for the orange Fun Forest entrance sign). The Fun Forest is the best Adventure Park to improve the finer control movements of stopping and turning.

apjumpland

Jump, bump and roll your way through Jumpland. Ride the Big Springs Gondola Express or Village Express up to mid-mountain, Arrow Express and Comstock Express to the Summit of Mt. Pluto. Travel down Challenger to The Backside land. Once you’re near the bottom of Challenger look for the entrance of Jumpland on the left side. If you have traveled to Burn Out, you’ve gone too far.

apjibpark

Jib here, jib there, jib everywhere. Jib through this park filled with mini log slides and jibable natural obstacles. Ride the Big Springs Gondola Express or Village Express up to mid-mountain, Arrow Express and Comstock Express or Rendezvous to the Summit of Mt. Pluto. Travel down East Ride to either Powder Bowl or The Flume. The entrance of the Jib Park is immediately to the right after The Flume Trail and Powder Bowl merge.

apamped3

Come live the Xbox360 video game, Amped 3. Cruise the park filled with burms, bumps, banks and jumps, while watching big screen televisions with shots from the game. Ride the Big Springs Gondola Express or Village Express up to mid-mountain, Arrow Express and Comstock Express to the Summit of Mt. Pluto. Travel down West Ride to Luggi’s. Look for the Jib Park entrance on the left side where the two trails meet.

apuppermineshaft

Ride the Big Springs Gondola Express or Village Express up to mid-mountain. Start at the top of Village Run and travel down Village Run. Look for the Upper Mine Shaft entrance on the right side of Village Run and just before sliding down the second hill.

aplowermineshaft Ride the Big Springs Gondola Express or Village Express up to mid-mountain. You can either take Upper Mine Shaft to the entrance of Lower Mine Shaft which is across Village Run or travel ¾ of the way down Village Run and look for the entrance of Lower Mine Shaft on the left side
