What is Minors’ Camp?
Minors’ Camp is Northstar Resort's licensed child care provider for ages 2-6 years old. Reservations are strongly recommended.
Where is Minors’ Camp located?
Minors’ Camp is located in the Golf Course Clubhouse building.
We’ve set aside parking at the facility. When registering your child, you may also purchase your lift tickets for yourself and the rest of the family and then board our shuttle, which will drop you off at the village entrance.
At what age can my child be enrolled in Minors’ Camp?
We are only able to provide child care for children 24 months or older. They must have had their 2nd birthday before their first day of child care. All children under the age of 3 must bring a copy of their birth certificate or passport.
If I reserve online, what will I need to do when I get to Northstar Resort?
When you arrive, inform the Minors Camp staff that you have reserved online. Please have your email confirmation handy.
What do I need to bring with my Child while in Minors’ Camp?
Is there a quiet place for my child to rest?
Children enrolled in the full day program are provided a blanket and resting mat in a quiet place. Please note, if your child has a special blanket or stuffed animal for resting, we encourage you to bring them.
What time is check-in at Minors’ Camp?
What time is check-out at Minors’ Camp at the end of the session?
The center closes at 4:30 p.m. A late fee of $20 per ½ hour will be charged.
How will you contact a parent if needed?
We will issue you a pager in case we need to contact you on the mountain. Please keep it zipped up in a dry, safe place. You must return your pager in order to pick up your child.
We also recommend that you have your cell phone on and available while your child is in Minors’ Camp.
Is it OK to leave Northstar while my child is enrolled in Minors’ Camp?
Parents must remain on Northstar’s premises while their child is enrolled in the center.
What is the teacher to child ratio?
Minors’ Camp maintains a 1:5 teacher to child ratio.
Is it OK if my child is still in pull-ups or diapers?
Yes. Please provide us with pull-ups/diapers and wipes.
What if my child has special needs, allergies, etc.?
So that we can provide your child with the best care possible, please inform us of any special needs, allergies, etc. your child may have during the online registration process and again at check-in.
Note: Sick and contagious children will not be admitted.
What if my child has special dietary Restrictions?
If your child has special dietary restrictions, please let us know during the online registration process and again at check-in. Please bring your own snacks and lunch. (Minors’ Camp is a “peanut free” childcare. Please do not send food items containing nuts.)
Will my child be served lunch and snacks?
Can I, as a parent, stay at the center or visit during the day?
Parents may not remain in the center while your child is in our care. Visits are permitted.
What if I have other questions about Minors’ Camp?

What happens if my child just can’t make it the whole day?
Parents will be contacted via pager/cell phone to pick up their child. Please note that refunds will not be given for children unable to complete their day. However, future reservations will be permitted to be cancelled at no charge.
Can I pick up my child early from the session?
Children may be picked up at anytime.
Is there a skiing program for my 3 - 4 year old child?
Minors’ Camp provides child care with snow play only. Ski lessons for 3-4 year olds are available through the Children’s Center in the Northstar Village. Reservations for both programs are strongly recommended.
Does Minor’ Camp rent jackets/snow pants, etc.?
No, Minors’ Camp does not provide rental for clothing. Village Rentals has clothing available for rental.
When will my reservation be charged to my credit card?
Full payment will be charged to your credit card the day prior to arrival.
