A native son of Southern California, Scott Corridan was born and raised in Riverside and spent much of his youth molded by the beach and the old-school ranching cultures of Newport, Corona del Mar, and Laguna. As a youth leader, Scott went on to study architecture at The University of Southern California School of Architecture, ultimately completing his studies at The University of California, Santa Barbara, in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning.
In 1994, Scott established Corridan & Company Design Studios. Scott has designed weddings, special events and fund raising celebrations for literally thousands of clients in locations from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles to San Francisco to Seattle to Paradise Island to Cabo San Lucas to Whistler and London. His celebrations have been widely published in Santa Barbara Magazine, Inside Weddings Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, In Style Magazine and In Style Weddings, Town & Country Magazine, Bride’s Magazine, The Knot, OK! Magazine, Wedding Bells, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine, Better Homes & Garden’s Simply Creative Weddings, The Robb Report, and Los Angeles Weddings to list but a few of the publications Scott’s work has been honored in.
In 2008, In Style named Scott as one of the top 10 celebrity event producers planning special events in the country. Scott’s work has been widely celebrated on television on Tricks of The Trade for The Fine Living Channel, The Travel Channel, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, NBC’s Life Moments, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Wedding Edition, The Tyra Banks Show on FOX, Jane Buckingham’s Modern Girl’s Guide To Life on the Style Network, and in 2008 HGTV selected Scott as one of 10 finalists for the networks runaway hit show Design Star, Season II, which was followed up by appearances nationally on regional news and lifestyle programs including NBC's In The Loop, in addition to producing Scott Baio's wedding on VH1's Scott Baio's 46... and Pregnant.
Scott currently is in development with Lighthearted Entertainment, creator of Extreme Makeover, Next, The Moment of Truth, and many other hit reality and docudrama series, to develop two shows for network television focused on the ‘real reality’ of getting married.
Scott's long and loyal list of clients range from the entertainment industry, to politics, to captains of industry and finance. Scott’s regular advice column Scott’s Garden was read by hundreds of thousands of fans every quarter, as he offered unique, often quirky takes on life’s special moments as told to us by the cast of characters romancing his life’s story.
Looking to broaden his reach, Scott launched, in 2007, White Chocolate label by Scott Corridan, Inc., literally the nation's first, West Coast inspired and established, environmentally conscious, couture collection of wedding gowns. Quickly capturing the attention and accolades of the national media, along with the support of major retailers like the legendary Kleinfeld Bridal Salon in New York City, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman, White Chocolate label by Scott Corridan became a regarded couture fashion house rooted in almost two decades of wedding celebration expertise.
Scott has a passion for social causes and community efforts dedicated to animals, adult health care and the arts. His career has regularly and passionately supported the efforts of many charitable organizations. His volunteer time and professional support extends to Canine Companions — the nation’s largest organization dedicated to training and partnering assistance animals with children and adults across many physical and emotional need levels. Additionally, Scott is a certified ski instructor working with developmentally disabled children and adults through California's Mammoth Mountain Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra program.
Scott welcomes the opportunity to speak to professional, community and educational groups of any size.
