Mountain Operations

Lift Operator: Assist guests on and off the chairlift in a safe and friendly manner. Maintain ramps, mazes and loading/unloading area. Outdoor work.
Ticket Checker: Greet guest and check lift tickets. Maintain maze lines and direct guests. Outdoor work.
Groomer: Groom and maintain all ski runs and ramps throughout the ski area. Experience operating tracked equipment preferred. Good driving record required. Outdoor work.
Ski Patrol: Provide immediate first aid to injured skiers. Must hold current E.M.T. or W.E.C. card. Patrol experience preferred. Patrol also includes Skier Safety to monitor speed and assist patrollers. Outdoor work.

Skier Services

Minors' Camp Teacher: Supervise and teach children's activities. Experience in early childhood education per California State law required. Skiing background helpful.
Minors' Camp Teacher's Assistant: Assist the teachers in all phases. Early childhood education and skiing background helpful.
Information & Basket Check - Courtesy Guide: Provide information to the guest and staff basket check locations. Strong intermediate skiing skills required. Heavy public contact.
Ticket Seller: Sell lift and ski school tickets. Involves cash handling and accurately balancing all transactions. Previous cashier and tie-out experience required.
Customer Service Representative: Handle Vertical Plus passes, season passes, and information. Heavy customer contact, fast-paced environment. Cash handling and customer service experience desired.
Instructor: Instructs students of all levels and age groups in the various techniques of alpine skiing or snowboarding. Previous ski or snowboarding instruction preferred.

Food & Beverage

Food & Beverage at Northstar Resort ranges from fast food to fine cuisine. Indoor facilities include True North Restaurant and the Village Food Co. Facilities with indoor and outdoor work are Lodge at Big Springs and the Summit Deck & Grille.
Positions: Chef, Cook, Prep Cook, Host/Hostess, Dishwasher, Cashier, Utility/Janitorial, Stock Clerk, Food Server and other positions. Bar and wait staff openings are extremely limited and generally not available.

Resort Shops

Rental Shop: Greet and assist guests with various ski rental, lift and ski school packages. Issue skis/snowboards, boots and poles to the guest. Responsible for proper maintenance of the equipment. Positions include ski rental clerk, cashier and ski technician. Previous experience is preferred for cashiers. Heavy customer contact.
Retail Shop: Assist guests with the purchase of ski equipment, clothing and merchandise. Positions available include sales, cashiers and ski technicians. Prior sales and cash handling preferred.
Demo Center: Northstar Resort's state of the art, on-mountain, ski-in, ski-out demo ski facility. Assist guests in fitting and adjusting skis and boots. Tune, repair and wax skis, cashiering and stocking. Positions include cashier, ski technician, and clerk.

Lodging

Reservations/Front Desk: Welcome and register arriving guests. Process all guest reservations and confirmations. Knowledge of computer helpful and prior experience preferred.
Housekeeping - Pieceworker: Cleaning of condominiums and homes. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Cleaning paid on a piecework basis.
Housekeeping - Inspector: Inspection and inventory of condominiums and homes on the Rental Program. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Janitor: Clean and maintain Village, office and restaurant areas. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Area Services

Security Officer: Provide security and protect property for the Northstar resort. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Various shifts available.
Bus Driver: Provide transportation for guests on and off the Northstar project. Class B license and tour bus certificate preferred. Clean driving record required. Various shifts available.
Dispatcher: Heavy phones, clerical and dispatch duties for the Security, Transportation, and Parking departments. Various shifts.
Parking Attendant: Greet guests and direct cars to designated parking areas. Responsible for traffic control and security in parking lots. Outdoor work.
