Scenic Mountain Views and Incredible Deals Will Keep Guests Coming Back Fore More 

TRUCKEE, Calif.—Ranked as one of America’s top golf courses by the 2005 ZAGAT Survey and given a four star rating by Golf Digest, the Northstar-at-Tahoe™ golf course plans to open its scenic meadow nine Saturday, May 20, weather permitting. In preparation for the course opening, the resort’s golf shop will open Saturday, May 13 to accept tee time reservations and offer the latest golf fashion and apparel from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. The mountain nine and resort driving range will open as conditions allow.

Two Courses In One—Northstar Resort’s golf course is home to two truly extraordinary nines. The front nine, more commonly referred to as the mountain nine, requires tight precise play as the course winds through tree-lined areas with narrow fairways and smaller greens. The back nine, or the meadow nine, allows golfers to open up their game as this links-style course is wide-open, featuring views of Northstar Resort and the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Playing up to 6,781 yards, the Northstar golf course offers four tee locations and carries a rating of 72.4 from the Northern California Golf Association. The course was designed by legendary landscape architect, Robert Muir Graves, whose designs are famous for integrating rugged, wooded sites with wavy bunkers and putting surfaces.

Lessons—Northstar Resort’s skilled golf professionals can help any golfer take a few strokes off their game or master the fundamentals of the sport. Group and private lessons are available for adults and children based on the length and number of students in the lesson.

Season Passes—Season passes are now on sale and can be purchased at the resort golf shop. An unlimited adult season pass is $1,399 and an unlimited junior (16 and under) season pass $619. Value passes are also on sale for $799 adult and $389 junior. Those planning to play golf in the afternoon can purchase an afternoon pass for $579 adult and $299 junior. Value Deals—Northstar’s Anytime Fore Pak is available for $269, averaging out to $67.25 per round. This quad pak is designed to save guests money who know they will play more than once, but not enough to justify a season pass. Fore paks include four rounds of golf valid anytime, excluding holiday periods. Fore paks are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Twilight—Golfers can also save big this summer if they golf after 2 p.m. as Northstar-at-Tahoe continues to offer the earliest twilight rate at Lake Tahoe. Twilight rates vary according to season.
