Amazing Snow Conditions Add to the Resorts’ Appeal

TRUCKEE, Calif.—After record setting snowfall in March, Northstar-at-Tahoe™ and Sierra-at-Tahoe™ will finish the season strong with plenty of activities to keep guests entertained this Spring. Mid-winter conditions add to the resorts’ appeal with stellar snow and a spring vibe throughout the mountains. From live music to Easter festivities, guests will want to hop over to both resorts and check out all the happenings.

April 15—Pinball Rally
Northstar’s signature freestyle event series season finale will offer participants one last chance to throw down on the resort’s signature jibs and jumps. Costing only $10, the event will be held at 1 p.m. on Pinball trail. Registration for the event will be held from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at mid-mountain in front of the gondola. Divisions include men/women, skiers/riders, 14 & under and 15 & over. Participants take home swag and event winners receive medals.

The mini slalom course will be located off Bear Paw chairlift with hula-hoops to duck through and mini-berm turns to carve around. Prizes will be awarded to all children after completion of the course. Guests who want to combine a great day on the slopes with church on Easter Sunday can attend an interdenominational worship service at the top of Vista Express chairlift at 2 p.m.

For a real challenge, guests can participate in a raw egg toss at 12:30 p.m. The egg toss is open to all ages and prizes will be awarded to the winners. Following the egg toss, Northstar Resort will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. featuring a cameo appearance by the Easter Bunny himself. This event is free and guests not skiing and riding that day can pick up a free gondola transport ticket at the Ticket and Season Pass Office in the Village Center. All Easter activities will take place at the Northstar Ski and Snowboard School, located at mid-mountain.

Sierra-at-Tahoe will be hoppin’ with plenty of Easter events Sunday as well. Kids can discover hidden treasures buried near the tubing hill on Broadway during the resort’s Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. for kids five and under and at 12:15 p.m. for kids six to 12 years of age. Guests can practice hopping like the Easter Bunny in the resort’s Sack Hop Race at 11: 30 a.m. and should prepare to get messy in Sierra’s Egg Toss at 12:45 p.m. by the ski school on Broadway.
