TRUCKEE, Calif. – June 28, 2010 – Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s golf course is welcoming summertime with the most affordable resort green fees in North Lake Tahoe and a full calendar of golf schools and clinics. New this summer, Northstar® Resort has introduced ongoing Adult Golf Schools as well as a Wedding Package designed to warm up any cold feet with morning-of-the-big-day play.

Golf 3-Paks are one of the most affordable ways to get out on the course. For less than $57 per round, the 3-Pak includes 18-holes and use of a shared cart. Plus, 3-Pak holders get 10% off food and drinks at The Turn and Martis Valley Grille. 3-Paks are valid on the course every day except July 3 & 4 and cannot be combined with other discounts. When compared to the greens fees at other North Shore resort courses, Northstar Resort’s 3-Pak is an obvious choice for resort play value.

While the bride and her party ensconce themselves in the salon for hair, make-up and nail appointments on the morning of the big day, the groom and his guests can clear their heads on the golf course. New this season, the Wedding Package tees up happily ever after with nine holes of morning golf, breakfast or lunch, a cart and warm-up bucket, drinks, course contests, and an event planner to coordinate the whole thing. At just $69 per player, the Wedding Package sure beats a French pedicure.

New this season, golfers can tune up their game with the Adult Golf School on Thursdays and Saturdays through September 18, 2010. With a maximum instructor-to-student ratio of four-to-one, the Adult Golf Schools focus on swing fundamentals, ball flight correction, putting, pitching, chipping, and sand play – everything to get golfers of any level improving their score on the course.

Starting at just $175 per session for passholders or returning golf school students, the Adult Golf Schools will be offered Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Saturdays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Couples can attend the Adult Golf School for just $200 each while the single rate for new students is $229 per student. Private groups of three or more students can book an Adult Golf School session on a day and time of their choosing.

Starting at just $310 per person per two-night stay based on double occupancy, golfers can take advantage of the Stay & Golf FREE with Adult Golf School lodging package that includes two nights of lodging, the five-hour Adult Golf School and 18-holes of golf. Tee times are available for play beginning at 12:00 p.m.

In addition to the Adult Golf Schools, weekly golf clinics have kicked off, including the Women’s Full Swing Clinic, the Adult Full Swing Clinic, the Juniors Clinic and the Family Clinic. Each clinic lasts about 45 minutes and is designed to create a comfortable environment so that golfers can work on specific skills that will have a direct impact on their game. The clinics range from $20 to $30 for each session, reservations are not required.

Parents with eager young golfers who want to improve their game can sign up for the Junior Golf Schools, offered Monday and Tuesday throughout July and August from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Junior Golf Schools are for golfers ages seven through 12 and focus on rules, etiquette, chipping, putting and full swing.
