TORSTEIN HORGMO JOINS NORTHSTAR-AT-TAHOE™ RESORT PROFESSIONAL FREESTYLE SNOWBOARD TEAM
Horgmo Among the Ranks of other Top Athletes Including Elena Hight, Chas Guldemond, Eero Ettala and More

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Nov. 9, 2010 – Torstein Horgmo, one of the world’s top riders, has joined the Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort Professional Freestyle Team and will represent the resort in competitions including the Winter Dew Tour, Winter X Games and other high profile winter events. Horgmo, the first to land a triple cork off a park jump in his homeland of Norway, was recently welcomed to the Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort team which features other professional snowboarders including Chas Guldemond, Eero Ettala, Elena Hight, Jeremy Jones, Jussi Oksanen, Todd Richards, and Andy Finch. These athletes regularly represent the resort at prestigious events and in snowboard videos distributed worldwide.

Horgmo began snowboarding in 1999, was sponsored in 2004 and turned pro in 2009. He has consistently placed among the top finishers in high profile events including the Winter Dew Tour, WIIG Invitational, Arctic Challenge and Winter X Games over the past three years, including a first place finish in the Winter X Games Big Air in 2008, and second place finishes in 2009 and 2010. Horgmo, is also featured with a top-to-bottom Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort park run in the recently released 2010 Standard Films movie “The Storming.”

“I have the best time riding the parks at Northstar,” said Torstein Horgmo. “I spend more and more time shredding there every season, and to be able to join the team and be more involved in what the terrain park crew is doing almost seems too good to be true!”
