10 WAYS TO SAVE ON THE SLOPES
Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort Gives Guests Variety of Ways to Get on the Snow This Winter

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Dec. 6, 2010 – Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is making skiing and snowboarding more accessible to those who want to get out on the slopes this season. Whether guests are new to the sports of skiing and snowboarding, or they’ve been doing it for years, the resort is offering a variety of affordable lift ticket and lesson packages, in addition to other ways to recreate this winter. Here are 10 ways to get out and enjoy the season at Northstar® Resort:

1.  Introductory Learn to Ski/Ride Deals. First time skiers and riders ages 13+ are invited to learn to ski or ride at Northstar Resort for just $25 during the Learn More on the North Shore weekend, Saturday and Sunday, December 11 & 12, 2010. This package includes a lift ticket accessing beginner terrain, rental equipment and a 2.5 hour group lesson.

And, more than just a weekend, daily through December 17, first-timers ages 13+ can learn to ski or ride for just $49. This package includes a lift ticket accessing beginner terrain, rental equipment and an all day (six hour, with lunch break) group lesson.

2.  Six Packs. Featuring six all-day lift tickets priced at less than $54 per day, the Six Pack is valid any day this season, without restrictions. Six Packs are non-transferrable, limited to one ticket per day and the name on the pack. Must purchase by January 1, 2011.

3.  College Weeks. Students with a valid college ID are invited to purchase $61 discounted lift tickets during Northstar Resort’s College Weeks, January 3-7, 2011, January 10-14, 2011, January 24-28, 2011, March 14-18, 2011 and March 21-25, 2011.

4.  Kids Tickets, Lessons & Passes. All children’s single-day lift tickets are valid for two days. This two-for-one must be used any two out of three consecutive days. The savings continues with Kid’s Ski & Snowboard School lessons. Children enrolled in a two-day Ski & Snowboard School lesson save 50 percent on the second day of lessons. This offer is not available during holiday periods and is applicable on all-day lesson packages only.

5.  3-Day Passport to Learning. For just $249, the 3-Day Passport offers great savings and even better rewards. The package includes three days of all-day lift tickets accessing beginner terrain, equipment rentals and lessons for ages 13+. Days do not need to be consecutive.

6.  Complimentary Advanced Lessons. Intermediate and advanced skiers and riders ages 13+ are invited to participate in Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s complimentary advanced lessons, offered Monday through Friday, December 13-17, 2010, January 3-14, 2011, January 18-February 18, 2011 and February 28 through the end of the 2010-2011 winter season. Lessons meet at the top of the Comstock Express chair at 1:30 p.m. and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. These lessons focus on what the majority of the group is interested in covering, and last approximately two hours and 15 minutes.

7.  Minors’ Camp Day Care Deal. Receive a complimentary adult lift ticket (vaild non-holiday) with the purchase of All Day Minors’ Camp!  This offer is only available by reserving over the phone at 530.562.2278 at least 48 hours in advance, and by mentioning the offer at the time of making the reservation. This offer is valid Monday, Thursday and Friday only, non-holiday on a first-come, first-serve basis, and is not valid for prior reservations or reservations made online. Complimentary lift ticket can only be picked up at Minors’ Camp, and is valid on the day of the purchased child care reservation.

8.  Heavenly/Northstar Season Pass. Those who frequent Lake Tahoe may be interested in the Heavenly/Northstar Pass. For just $379, this pass provides access to Heavenly, Northstar Resort and for this season only, Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort, excluding Saturdays and blackout dates. This pass is available for purchase through December 19, 2010.

9.  Value Season Vouchers. Guests are invited to pick up a complimentary voucher at participating ski and board shops in Reno, Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area, then turn it in at the ticket window to purchase a $61 discounted all-day lift ticket at Northstar Resort. Value Season Vouchers are valid opening day through December 17, 2010; January 2-14, 2011 and March 14 through the end of the 2011 winter season.

10.  Stay and Ski Free. Lift and lodging packages start at just $115 per person, per night (based on double occupancy and a two night minimum stay).
