Affordable Mountain Biking, Tennis and Golf Lessons in North Lake Tahoe

 

TRUCKEE, Calif. – June 29, 2009 – Enhance your family’s summer vacation by taking advantage of Northstar® Resort’s affordable lessons, clinics, and tours in the mountain bike park, on the tennis court and on the golf course. Whether you’re starting new with a friend or improving your game so you can keep up, the below opportunities are affordable, frequent and lots of fun.

 

TENNIS
Rated by TennisResortsOnline.com as one of the Top 25 Tennis Resorts in the World, Northstar Resort offers a full line-up of tennis clinics including a free adult beginner clinic on Saturdays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and a free kids clinic on Mondays from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Cardio clinics, acclimatization clinics and private lessons are also available.

 

Two-day and five-day tennis camps for adults and juniors are also held at Northstar Resort and were ranked by TennisResortsOnline.com as one of the Top 50 Tennis Camps in the World. The camps include modern stroke development, drills & tactics, singles and doubles strategy, dynamic stretching and sports psychology sessions. All camps are taught by certified professionals. Customized lodging packages are available.

 

FLY-FISHING
Fly-fishing at Northstar Resort is a great way to bring generations together to try something new. Sawmill Lake is a secluded 10-acre stocked reservoir full of bright, fighting rainbow trout and is perfect for float tubing or shoreline stalking. The lake is limited to four rods at a time and there is a guide on-site daily to provide helpful hints. Professional instruction for a half or full day is also available. Reservations are required.

 

GOLF

Golf lessons and clinics are available at Northstar Resort’s 18-hole course. Head Professional Pete Smith has more than 30 years of experience and is well-known in Northern California as one of the top teaching professionals. Private instructions, weekly group clinics for adults, women only, families and juniors, and Junior Golf Schools are all great ways to get into the game for the first time or shave strokes off your existing game.

 

MOUNTAIN BIKING

New this season, Northstar Resort will offer free mountain bike tours daily when the bike park is open. These tours are perfect for beginner and intermediate riders who want to get acquainted with the bike park and ease into the thrill of downhill riding. The tours leave at 11:00 a.m. from the top of the Gondola.
