Kids Golf In Lake Tahoe

KIDS GOLF IN LAKE TAHOE AT NORTHSTAR® RESORT

TRUCKEE, Calif. – June 10, 2009 – Parents and kids alike can enjoy golf this summer at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort with a variety of affordable family-friendly programs designed to bring up the next generation of golfers.

 

Father’s Day Golf Special

Take dad out to the golf course next weekend for a day of making memories on the links. Dads are half price on Sunday, June 21 with a full paying guest and an advanced reservation. For a tee time, call the Pro Shop at 530.562.3290.

 

Junior Tee Boxes

Northstar Resort has created a Junior course with short tees on the front nine holes that range from 60 to 220 yards. Perfect for young golfers who may not be ready for the forward tees quite yet, the Junior tees allow parents to play the course with their children while still getting in a full 18-holes.

 

Junior Lessons & Clinics

For your up-and-coming Tiger, Northstar Resort offers a weekly clinic. Open to golfers of any level who are age 17 or under, the Junior Golf Clinic is every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. The weekly clinic is just $20 for the first golfer, $10 for siblings.

For more serious golfers age 7 through 12, the Junior Golf School is held on Monday and Tuesday in July and August from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and is $80 per golfer. Reservations are recommended for both the weekly clinic and the school and can be made by calling the Pro Shop at 530.562.3290.

 

Family Golf Clinic

Every Thursday in July and August, golfing parents & kids can join the Family Golf Clinic at 4:00 p.m. Parents can get tips to improve their swing and club selection while kids will learn everything from golf etiquette to putting accuracy – skills to last a lifetime.

 

Nike Golf Demo Day

Families can outfit the whole crew, or just upgrade a few clubs, at the Nike Golf Demo Day on July 11. The Nike mobile pro shop features Nike, TaylorMade and Cleveland clubs and experts who can help you find just the right equipment to take a few strokes off your game.
