TEE UP ANOTHER GREAT SUMMER OF GOLF IN NORTH LAKE TAHOE Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort Golf Course Opens For The Season With Affordable Tee Times and Lessons   TRUCKEE, Calif. – May 6, 2008 – The Northstar® Resort golf course will open the front nine holes of the course (the “meadow” nine), the driving range and the pro shop to the public on Saturday, May 10. The entire 18-hole course is scheduled to open by May 24, weather and conditions permitting.   Three new value-oriented options further establish Northstar as Lake Tahoe ’s most affordable golf course. Pre-season tee time rates, valid through May 24, are just $39 to play the meadow nine twice or $29 to play the meadow nine once. In celebration of Northstar Resort’s 35th anniversary, tee times made in advance for June 2 through 5 will be just $35 including a shared cart for 18 holes. The afternoon golf season pass, at just $399, is valid for afternoon play after 12 p.m. this spring and fall, after 3 p.m. this summer, and pays for itself after just six rounds. Golfers can add a shared cart for just $130 more. Full and value season passes are also available.   Four weekly golf group clinics offer affordable lessons for golfers looking to improve their game. Group lessons are held June through August and are approximately 45 minutes. Reservations are not required.

Northstar Resort Golf Course offers affordable tee times and lessons

• New this season is the Family Golf Clinic, designed for parents and children who want to spend time together on the course while benefiting from professional instruction. Offered on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m., this group lesson is $30 for a parent and child and $10 for each additional family member.
• A Women’s Full Swing Clinic will be held on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m. and is $25.
• The ever-popular Adult Full Swing Clinic will be held on Sundays at 9:00 a.m. and is $25.
• The Juniors Golf Clinic (under 13) is held on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. for just $20

 

Northstar Resort will again feature the earliest twilight golf around the Tahoe-Truckee area beginning at 1 p.m. daily, and for those who want to get nine holes in at the end of the day, a new late afternoon rate will be available for the front nine after 4 p.m. starting at just $35 this spring and fall, and $45 this summer. The Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort golf course is an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Robert Muir Graves. Playing up to 6,781 yards, the Northstar Resort golf course offers four tee locations and carries a rating of 72.4 from the Northern California Golf Association.

Northstar Resort’s strong support of the local environment carries over onto the golf course. The Audubon Signature Cooperative Sanctuary System designated the course as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. This coveted environmental honor recognizes developments that have merged wildlife conservation, habitat enhancement, resource conservation, and environmental improvement with the economic agenda associated with the development.

Those who want to stay and play at Northstar Resort can take advantage of the “Stay & Golf” lodging package. This offer includes lodging, two rounds of golf per person, per two night stay. Guests receive use of a shared golf cart during play and tee times are available daily starting at noon. Unused golf passes can be exchanged for a $25 Northstar Resort gift card.
