Mikuni Sushi, Belgian Waffles, American-Style Burritos and Moody’s Bistro Spice Up Summertime Dining at Northstar™ Resort

TRUCKEE, Calif. – July 5, 2007 – Imagine the perfect summertime date. An evening under the stars enjoying live music? Dinner at one of the most elegant and sophisticated restaurants in the region? How about both? How about at the same time?

Moody’s Mondays will wine and dine guests with a rare culinary experience under the stars. The renowned contemporary American cuisine and exceptional service along with some of the area’s best live jazz performers brings the casual-yet-creative atmosphere of Moody’s Bistro & Lounge to the Village at Northstar. Mikuni Sushi Thursday Nights will begin on July 5 and continue Thursdays through August 30, 2007. Offered as a preview to the official opening of the newest Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar location in the Village at Northstar, Village Walk presents Thursday Night Live, sponsored by The Ritz-Carlton Club Lake Tahoe and Mikuni Sushi will showcase the award-winning blend of flavors and textures of traditional Japanese cuisine enhanced by a hint of American ingenuity. Mikuni Sushi, with four award winning locations in the Sacramento area, will offer several of its original sushi creations buffet-style with a side of the summer live music concert series – making Mikuni Thursdays one of the most entertaining evenings in North Tahoe. The all-you-can-eat buffet will be open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be $35 for adults, $15 for children.

Other daily dining options in the Village at Northstar include indoor and outdoor seating at Rubicon Pizza & Bistro, a family-style Italian restaurant serving salads, gourmet pizza, pasta and sandwiches alongside a full bar. A great place to watch the game and relax after a long day in the Tahoe outdoors. Live music as well as DJ music is offered on select nights from 10pm-1 am.

Earthly Delights is a well-known favorite among locals. A great stop for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner, Earthly Delights also features gourmet take-out including salads, vegetarian and vegan dishes, fresh Mexican cuisine, hearty sandwiches and weekly wine tastings. An extensive wine and cheese selection along with other high-end products and sundries means you can walk out with everything you need for an impressive picnic.

Big Wave Burritos is a fresh, fun spin on quick food. The beach scene inspired restaurant offers food influenced by the Yucatan peninsula, Asia and the West. Serving burritos, wraps, salads, sandwiches, beer and wine, Big Wave is another local favorite.

For one of the most unique outdoor dining experiences in this part of the world, guests are invited to try a Eurosnack. Served fresh from a traditional stand on the Villageplaza and also at mid-mountain on the weekends, these Belgian waffles or French hot dogs wrapped in a still-warm baguette will transport you to the mountain villages of Europe.

A free wine tasting offered each Saturday makes the summer afternoons fly by. Grapes + Grounds, a cozy wine bar nestled inside the trendy outdoor apparel shop True North, offers complimentary tastings from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
