FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NORTHSTAR-AT-TAHOE™ RESORT OPENS FOR SKIING AND RIDING ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 23
TRUCKEE, Calif. – Nov. 21, 2007 – Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is officially opening for skiing and riding for the winter 2007-08 season on Friday, November 23, 2007.
Consistently cold temperatures this week allowed Northstar ™ Resort to fire up North Tahoe’s largest snowmaking system, and the resort will continue to make snow nightly through the Thanksgiving holiday. Forecasts are calling for temperatures to remain low and the resort will continue to make snow around the clock as temperatures allow.
Northstar Resort improved the snowmaking efficiency of its already extensive snowmaking system this summer on the terrain located on Village Run. The snowmaking system can cover more than 50 percent of the resort’s trails, allowing Northstar Resort to offer some of the best early season conditions around the lake.
Early season lift tickets are available for just $29 for adults and young adults, and $9 for children ages five through 12 (under five ski for free).
Dining and retail stores in The Village at Northstar ™ are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Village Skating Rink is open daily with free skating and skate rentals for just $5.
