NORTHSTAR-AT-TAHOE™ RESORT OPENING SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 25

FOR THE 2006-2007 WINTER SEASON

 

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Nov. 24, 2006 – Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is officially opening the mountain for skiing and riding on Saturday, November 25!

 

Northstar™ Resort fired up the snowmaking guns this week and consistently cold temperatures allowed the resort to make snow nightly through the Thanksgiving holiday. Forecasts are calling for temperatures to remain low and the resort will continue to make snow around the clock as temperatures allow.

 

Northstar Resort expanded its already extensive snowmaking system this summer on the terrain located off of Vista Express and the new high-speed six-pack lift, the Tahoe Zephyr Express. With the largest snowmaking system of any resort on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, more than 50 percent of the resort’s trails are now covered with snowmaking, allowing Northstar Resort to offer some of the best early season conditions around the lake.

 

Early season lift tickets are available for just $29 for adults and young adults, and $9 for children ages five through 12 (under five ski for free).

 

Dining and retail stores in The Village at Northstar™ are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the Village Skating Rink is open daily with free skating and skate rentals for just $5.
