TRUCKEE, Calif. – Tahoe’s youth has incentive to hit the slopes at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort this year as the resort offers significant discounts on a 10-session series of ski and snowboard lessons, a local students’ season pass, and daily lift tickets. These special benefits are offered to students ages 4-18 attending elementary, middle and high school in Truckee, North Tahoe and Incline Village for the 2006-2007 winter season.
“It’s now more affordable than ever for local kids and young adults to ski or ride at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort,” said Genevieve Gunnarson, marketing director, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort. “And with access to new lifts, expanded terrain, and some of the best parks and pipes in North America, we’re sure local families are going to love what Northstar™ Resort has to offer.”
This season, local skiers and snowboarders ages 4-12 can participate in a 10-session lesson program to improve their skiing or riding. Lessons will be held Jan. 7, 21, 28; Feb. 4, 11, 25; and March 4, 11, 18, 25 for 2-1/2 hours each Sunday from 1:15 p.m.-3:45 p.m. The lesson package costs $250 per student (lift ticket and rental equipment not included). Ski, snowboard and cross-country ski all winter long for only $75! Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is offering students, ages 18 and under, attending elementary, middle and high school in Truckee, North Tahoe and Incline Village an affordable season pass to ski and ride Northstar Resort for the winter 2006-07 season. Passes are valid Sunday-Friday, excluding blackout dates (Nov. 24-25, 2006, Dec. 26-31, 2006, Jan. 13-14, 2007 and Feb. 17-18, 2007). A local school ID is required at time of purchase. For just $5 a day, local kids can ski/ride on non-holiday Sundays, and February 19-23, 2007 during Ski Skate week. All students ages 18 and under attending school in Truckee, North Tahoe and Incline Village are eligible for this discounted lift ticket price. Lift tickets can be purchased throughout the season at any Northstar Resort ticket window. A local school ID or current report card is required at time of purchase.
