At Northstar™ Resort in North Lake Tahoe, California, guests can open a new chapter in the textbook of life by learning to fly-fish, play golf or tennis or improving their mountain biking skills.  A variety of learning opportunities will keep the family entertained, relaxed and enjoying the Sierra Nevada Mountains all summer long.

MOUNTAIN BIKING – Learn to Ride Technical Features
Northstar Resort has introduced new terrain in the mountain bike park as well as skills development areas with log and ladder rides lower to the ground than other features throughout the park. The skills development areas afford riders the opportunity to hone their skills on features that require high skill, but are lower in consequence. An extensive network of cross-country trails in the nearby Martis Valley and within the boundary of the mountain bike park will keep mountain bikers pedaling around the scenic North Shore until they are ready to progress to some of the more intermediate and advanced trails Northstar Resort’s mountain bike offers. GOLF – Free Lessons on Wednesdays
Northstar Resort’s 18-hole golf course hosts a bevy of affordable golf clinics that help guests of every age and ability level lower their score. Beginning on Sunday with the Full Swing Clinic and a Junior Clinic, and continuing throughout the week with a Women’s Full Swing Clinic and a free clinic for golfers ages 17 and over on Wednesdays, and Ladies Night on Thursdays, the Northstar Resort golf clinics address every aspect of the game and are flexible enough to accommodate every type of golfer. A staff of experienced professional instructors, lead by Head Professional Pete Smith, are focused on teaching and making sure that even players just getting introduced to the game have an enjoyable mountain golf adventure. FLY-FISHING – Guides and Lessons
If a river runs through your summer vacation plans – fly-fishing at Northstar Resort is a great way to get introduced to the sport. Sawmill Lake is a secluded 10-acre reservoir stocked with hundreds of bright, fighting rainbow trout and is reserved for catch-and-release fly fishing only. TENNIS – Adult and Junior Camps
Northstar Resort’s Tennis Center is teeming with instructional camps to help guests improve their play.  Both 5-day and 2-day camps offer a fun and energetic approach to the game that includes modern stroke development, drills, singles and doubles strategy, dynamic stretching, sport psychology, video analysis, use of the courts and equipment, refreshments and a t-shirt.  The USPTA-certified tennis pros are passionate about teaching, and the facilities are among the best in the Western USA.
