NORTHSTAR-AT-TAHOE™ RESORT PROVIDES A CONVENIENT, HASSLE-FREE EXPERIENCE FOR FAMILIES HITTING THE SLOPES THIS SEASON

 

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Dec. 26, 2006 – Offering a multitude of ways to get families to the mountains, and kids on the slopes, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort’s children’s programs are designed to suit the needs of families. This season, Northstar™ Resort introduced a new state-of-the-art Children’s Center located in the Village at Northstar ™, that allows parents the convenience of being able to drop-off and pick-up their kids for ski and snowboard lessons from one location in the center of the Village.

 

In addition, Northstar Resort’s “Mommy, Daddy and Me” complimentary lessons, Stars Four-Pak, Parent Predicament lift ticket and Minors’ Camp childcare also offer families an easy, affordable way to get on the slopes this season.

 

NEW CHILDREN’S CENTER PROVIDES CONVENIENCE

Northstar Resort’s new Children’s Center, located in the center of the Village, makes it easier than ever for parents to get their kids registered for ski and snowboard lessons. Providing a hassle-free, one-stop shop, the Children’s Center allows parents to drop-off and pick-up their children in one convenient location, register children ages 3-12 for full-day or afternoon ski and snowboard lessons, purchase lift tickets and coordinate equipment rentals.

 

The Children’s Center is open daily, and accepts early arrivals as early as 8:00 a.m. Also new this season, Northstar Resort allows families to schedule lessons 48 hours in advance by making reservations online at NorthstarAtTahoe.com.

 

FAMILY-SIZED SAVINGS

A great option for tag-team child care, the interchangeable Parent Predicament lift ticket allows parents to share a lift ticket for the day. As one parent skis or snowboards, the other parent stays with the child until they’re ready to trade duties. Parents get a two-for-one as the Parent Predicament lift ticket is the same price as a regular full-day adult lift ticket.

 

Northstar Resort’s “Mommy, Daddy and Me” program couples parents with one of Northstar Resort’s experienced instructors to give them tips on teaching their 3-4-year-olds how to ski. The complimentary 45-minute lesson is offered at 1:30 p.m. Sunday-Friday, excluding peak periods.

 

The Stars Four-Pak allows parents to enroll their children in Northstar Resort’s award-winning children’s program for just $359. The four-pak includes four days of all day lift tickets, lessons, equipment rental and lunch. Days do not need to be consecutive.

 

MINORS’ CAMP DAY CARE

Northstar Resort offers Minors' Camp licensed childcare and outdoor play for non-skiing children ages 2-6. Children do not need to be potty-trained, and will be kept busy all day long with fun activities so they won’t miss their parents while they’re out on the slopes.

 

Minors' Camp is located at the golf course clubhouse, and makes it convenient for parents not only to park and drop off their little ones, but to purchase lift tickets, and board a shuttle to the Village entrance. Pagers are issued to parents for added assurance, and so they can always be contacted while at the resort.
