TRUCKEE, Calif. – Jan. 29, 2007 – Boasting some of the best skiing and riding conditions on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is offering significant discounts to those interested in skiing or riding the resort’s wind-protected slopes and perfectly groomed corduroy. Season passholders from other Lake Tahoe resorts, ski and snowboard shop employees, ski area employees and civil service employees including firefighters and police officers are invited to present their credentials and receive discounted lift tickets to ski or ride at Northstar™ Resort this winter.
Season passholders from other resorts around the lake can purchase full-day lift tickets to ski or ride Monday through Friday, non-holiday, for afternoon rates of just $55 for guests ages 23+, $49 for those ages 13-22, and $19 for children ages 5-12.
Ski and snowboard shop employees are invited to ski at Northstar Resort Monday through Friday, non-holiday, for just $15 when they present a current pay stub and photo ID. Ski area employees from other resorts can also enjoy $30 discounted lift tickets valid Sunday through Friday, non-holiday, by presenting a letter of introduction and a photo ID.
Northstar Resort welcomes civil service employees including firefighters and police officers to ski or ride Monday through Friday, non-holiday, for just $55 for those ages 23+, and $49 for those up to age 22. Official credentials and a photo ID must be presented in order to receive a lift ticket at these rates.
Conditions are great for those who want to get started skiing or riding this season. Cold temperatures and the largest snowmaking system on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe have allowed Northstar Resort’s snowmaking crew to continue making snow daily on many of the resort’s trails, ensuring optimal conditions for skiers and riders visiting the resort. In addition, the terrain park crew continues to work hard to keep parks that cater to jibbers of all abilities fresh. Northstar Resort’s 420-foot Superpipe is also open, offering skiers and riders one of the first pipes in Lake Tahoe.
