NEW RETAILERS, RESTAURANTS AND IMPROVED SERVICES ENHANCE GUEST EXPERIENCE THROUGHOUT THE VILLAGE AT NORTHSTAR™

Convenience and Quality of Service Offer Resort Guests Increased Value

TRUCKEE, Calif. – September 2008 – This winter, Northstar Resort will welcome new retailers and restaurants to its new base area village, marking the completion of the Village at Northstar and offering resort guests access to 150,000 square feet of retail space featuring 35 unique shops, galleries and dining options. The resort has also made improvements to enhance the efficiency of a host of guest services including the availability of additional ticket windows, the ease of use of the rental equipment shop, and the accessibility of the resort’s storage facilities, making it more convenient than ever for guests to have a good day at Northstar Resort.

Guests will be invited to savor the contemporary American cuisine offered by Baxter’s Bistro & Lounge, operated by Mark Estee and JJ Morgan, the owners of the popular Truckee-based Moody’s Bistro & Lounge, indulge in sweet creations by Reno-based Chocolate Bar, and enjoy ice cream, gelato and other desserts at Euro Gelato. And, to help guests relax, Balance Holistic Heath will offer services including massage, aromatherapy, yoga, thai chi and other wellness therapies and classes regularly out of their new Village at Northstar location.

Also joining the Village at Northstar this winter, Northstar Logo Company will offer resort logo wear, gifts and other retail items. And, popular village eatery Earthly Delights will offer a wider selection of grocery items for guests looking for some of the basic necessities while on vacation.

To increase the convenience quotient, Northstar Resort has made significant improvements to its equipment rental shop, availability and location of ticket windows, day and overnight storage, and the efficiency of its popular children’s ski school. These enhancements include:

Village Rental Shop

The Village Rental Shop has been remodeled for the 2008-09 winter season in an effort to provide a customized experience and make the equipment rental process significantly faster and more convenient for resort guests. Twelve additional registration stations, as well as 12 new cashier stations have been added to reduce customer wait time. Additionally, the boot area has been expanded by 175 percent, and day storage lockers have been added, providing guests with a convenient area to prepare for their day and store items they may have brought with them. All rental skis and snowboards have been moved to the base area gondola where they will be queued and ready for pick-up as the guest heads up the mountain.

Northstar Resort’s village demo shop has also been expanded by 25 percent, and will offer a 30 percent increase in its demo fleet size and selection of skis and snowboards.

Tickets and Season Pass Office

The Tickets and Season Pass Office in the Village at Northstar has been remodeled and will offer four additional outdoor ticket windows for the coming season, bringing the total to nine. The Village Rental Shop will also feature six new outdoor ticket windows, making it even easier for guests to get what they need and quickly get on the slopes. And, on peak season days the resort will also provide up to six indoor ticket windows on the lower level of the Village at Northstar to make it easy for guests to begin their day. These changes will not only reduce wait times, but also offer convenient new locations for ticket purchases throughout the Village at Northstar.

Day and Overnight Storage

Recognizing the need for additional storage facilities, Northstar Resort has doubled the amount of lockers available to its guests for day storage use. Locker storage will be available in the Village at Northstar at the Village Rental Shop and in the Village Center . On-mountain locker storage will be available at the Day Lodge and at the mid-mountain day storage located at the top of the gondola.

Guests staying at the resort or in the area overnight are invited to use the resort’s complimentary overnight ski and board storage. Now offering 40 percent more storage space than in previous years, Northstar Resort’s overnight ski and board storage is located at the bottom of Village Run in the Village at Northstar behind the Chocolate Bar.

Private locker membership is also available for those interested in storing their equipment at the resort for the duration of the season. Private locker membership includes complimentary unlimited equipment tuning at Snowell, access to the resort’s First Tracks program, snacks and beverages, concierge services and a complimentary limited number of equipment demos. For more information or to reserve a private locker, visit www.NorthstarAtTahoe.com.

Children’s Ski School

Renovations to Northstar’s popular Children’s Ski School facility have been designed to improve the speed and efficiency of the resort’s check-in procedure and allow for better traffic flow, ensuring on-time lesson start times and a reduced wait.

Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort is scheduled to open for winter operations on November 22, 2008, weather and conditions permitting. For more information, visit www.NorthstarAtTahoe.com.
