2nd Annual Northstar^®  Snowshoe Series

The 2nd Annual Northstar Snowshoe Series for Runners, Walkers and Kids represents a unique event for the Tahoe region! Photographer Keith Facchino will be on-site to memorialize the day, providing participants the option to purchase photos.

Courses

Courses design by Peter Fain, Atlas Snowshoe Racing Team Member.  Races will start at 11:30 a.m.  There will be three separate courses: 

• 5K Fun Walk Run - Start/finish at Northstar Cross-Country Center, a constant rolling course incorporating groomed and ungroomed single-track sections, an adventurous challenge for fitness and orienteering skills. 
• 10K Competitive Run - Start/finish at Northstar Cross-Country Center incorporates two loops of the 5K course.  Qualifies for overall series crown. 
• 500M Kid's Rising Star Rumble - groomed and ungroomed trails (ages 6-8)
• 1K Kid’s Rising Star Rumble - groomed and ungroomed trails (ages 9-12)

 

Entry Cost*

• Series Pre-registration: $60 
• Series registration: $80
• Single Race Pre-registration: $25
• Single Race registration: $40
• Last Race Pre-registration: $45
• Last Race registration: $60 
• Rising Star Rumble Pre-registration (age 6-12):  $15
• Rising Star Rumble registration (age 6- 12): $20

Celebrate finishing your race with awards, raffle prizes, food and drinks following run/walk at the Nordic Center!

* Day-of trail pass included.

• Race-Day Monetary Prizes for 10K - Top Three Men and Women Racers
• Overall Series Monetary Prizes for 10K and 1/2 Marathon- Top Man and Top Woman
• Product Prizes for 5K Race-Day Winner - Top Three Men and Women
• Product Prizes for Kids Rising Star Winners - each age category

 

Registration Information

Prior to the race, contact the Season Pass & Tickets Office at 1.800.GO.NORTH.
On Saturday, December 20, racers go to the Season Pass & Ticket Office in the Village to register for the race.

 

 

We will also be hosting a Snowshoe Running Clinic on January 3.
