Luna Chix brings women of all abilities, interests and ages together to learn new sports, stay active and inspire each other to do the same. This winter, the Northstar® Resort Cross-Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center partners with Luna Chix in three unique on snow clinics – for women, by women. The second of three clinics will be a Snowshoe Skills Clinic on January 2 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Led by Sarah McMahan, Atlas Snowshoe and Salomon Trail Running team member, this Snowshoe Skills Clinic and will provide great pointers to feel at one with your snowshoes and prime those women interested in Northstar’s Snowshoe Social and Race series.

The Clinic will include discussions on training tips, clothing, managing energy and fueling your body.  Core fundamentals and technique for running and walking on groomed trails, fresh snow and hills will be covered. 

Snowshoes: Atlas Snowshoe rentals, including performance snowshoes, will be available for rent. Call the Northstar Resort Cross-Country Ski, Telemark & Snowshoe Center at 530.562.3270 for more information and reservations.

Time: 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Please arrive to the Center at mid-mountain early to make sure all equipment needs are taken care of prior to the clinic.

Cost: FREE with a trail pass!

Donations: We will be collecting donations to benefit the Truckee-Tahoe non-profit, Girls on the Run - Sierras.  For further information on this organization, please visit www.girlsontherunsierras.org .
