Noel Nights at Northstar Resort

Noel Nights
Location: The Village at Northstar
From: Thursday, December 03, 2009
To: Thursday, December 17, 2009
Time: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Noel Nights LogoPut on your hat and mittens and join us for Northstar at Tahoe's NOEL Nights taking place the first three Thursdays of December from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..  On December 3rd, 10th and 17th we invite you and your family to get into the holiday spirit!  The Village at Northstar™ will be festive with a 35-foot tree and holiday trees throughout The Village decorated by local school children.

Bring the little ones because Santa will be here to find out what's on their Christmas lists and he will be available to have pictures taken.  We'll also have ice skating (bring a can of food for a local Food Bank and skate rentals are free!) until 9:00 p.m., fire pits to warm you, s'mores, carolers, one-horse sleigh rides, cookie and ornament decorating, holiday shopping deals, and much more!

December 3
On December 3rd we will light the 35-foot Northstar tree with a fun filled tree lighting ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m..

December 10
Then on December 10th we'll have family entertainment with multiple ice skating performances in the center of The Village throughout the night and we're pleased to have the North Tahoe High School Band performing as well*.
* If you enjoyed their performance, they have Holiday CD's on sale to help raise funds for their organization.  Contact Robert Ordway, (530) 386-1768, to purchase one.

December 17
On December 17th a table will be set up with copies of a newly published book, Spiritual Adventures in the Snow: Skiing and Snowboarding as Renewal for Your Soul.  The book was written by two Northstar at Tahoe season pass holders and is a fun and adventurous look at what alpine enthusiasts already know; there is something deeply profound about being in the mountains and experiencing the rhythms of snow sports as renewal for mind, boy and spirit.  Geared to people of all faiths - no no faith tradition - and all skill levels.  It contains multiple stories about Northstar at Tahoe, including riding in the snowcats with groomers at night.  It will make a great holiday gift for the snow lover in your life.  A portion of the author proceeds will go to local charities - Boarding for Breast Cancer and Disabled Sports USA Far West.
