Scenic SpotNorthstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort hosts the 2010 Lake Tahoe Music Festival with three exciting concerts at mid-mountain featuring Wynonna Judd on Saturday, July 31, Natalie Cole on Thursday, August 5 and Michael McDonald on Saturday, August 7.

Outside beer and spirits are not permitted at Northstar Resort. A $5 corkage fee will be charged for each outside bottle of wine. We understand this breaks a long-standing music festival tradition, but we must abide by state liquor license laws. Food & drink options

Arrival
Complimentary parking is available for guests and volunteers in the Lower Village parking lots and the Village View parking lots which are both located in close proximity to the Village at Northstar™.

  • Guests that park in the Lower Village parking lot will walk to the Village where they have two options for transport to the mid-mountain concert venue – guests may take a scenic and relaxing ride on the Big Springs Gondola (no charge) or go to Post # 2 in the Village Transit Center to get on a shuttle and ride to the concert venue.

  • Guests that park in the Village View parking lots will either walk to the Village or proceed to one of six (6) designated shuttle stops located within the Village View parking lots. They will be picked up by a Northstar shuttle and transported to the Village Transit Center. Once they get off the shuttle in the Transit Center, they have two options for transport to the mid-mountain concert venue – guests may take a scenic and relaxing ride on the Big Springs Gondola (no charge) or they may go to Post #2 in the Village Transit Center to get on a shuttle and ride to the concert venue.

  • Valet parking at the Village will also be available for $20 per vehicle.

  • Donor/Sponsor and Preferred Parking guests with an orange parking pass will be parking in the Lower Village parking lot.

  • Guests arriving from The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe walk down the short trail to the Northstar mid-mountain concert venue entrance located near the Day Lodge.

  • The Highlands View Gondola will be operating 11:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Departure
Lake Tahoe Music Festival guests have three options when departing the mid-mountain concert venue.

  1. Ride the Big Springs Gondola (no charge) down to the Village. Guests may depart the concert venue at any time.

  2. Ride a Northstar Shuttle to the Village Transit Center beginning at 7:00 p.m.

  3. Walk up the trail or ride the Big Easy chairlift to The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe.

 

Concert Venue + Access

All three concerts will be held at Northstar Resort's mid-mountain. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for Sponsors and Donors and 5:00 p.m. for Preferred and General Seating.

Gondola:  The Big Springs Gondola is the recommended mode of transportation to the concert venue at mid-mountain. Your concert ticket includes the Gondola transportation fee ($5). The Gondola will be operating from 4:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. during the Lake Tahoe Music Festival days - July 31, August 5 & 7.

Highlands Gondola:  The Highlands View Gondola will be operating 11:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Shuttle to Mid-Mountain:  Complimentary shuttles to the mid-mountain concert venue will depart every 20 minutes from Post #2 in the Village Transit Center beginning at 4:30 p.m. and continuing until 7:00 p.m.

Restrooms:  Indoor and temporary outdoor restrooms are available at mid-mountain.

Seating:  Low-back chairs are welcome and will be available for rent for concert viewing. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

 

Food + Drink Options

  • Village at Northstar™ Wine Walk:  On Saturday, July 31 attend the popular Village Wine Walk from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. featuring Clos Du Bois-Reserve.  Purchase a bottle and take it with you up the Gondola to mid-mountain and enjoy Wynonna Judd's show!

  • Thanks God It's Thursday:  Join us for "Thank God It's Thursday" on Thursday, August 5 for tempting food and drink specials at participating Village at Northstar shops and restaurants.

Bike + Hike Park Hours

Please note that Northstar® Resort's Mountain Biking & Hiking Park's reduced hours of operation during the Lake Tahoe Music Festival at Northstar Resort (July 31, August 5 & August 7). We will be scheduled to open 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. during these 3 days and lift tickets will be priced at $29 for adults, and bike rentals will be $75.
